Counterpoint Audio is a fully equipped tracking, overdubbing and mixing facility, and part of the larger Ruby Studios rehearsal complex. We record primarily to digital format, but mix through a purpose-built analog console. In order to work this way at the highest fidelity, we use high quality converters to interface between the analog and digital devices. We take great pride in the quality of our signal chain, from microphone to recorder, and feel that our hybrid approach offers the best combinations of digital automation and recall convenience, along with the superior sound of high quality analog eq and summing. Counterpoint Audio @ Ruby Studios is run by Nathan Power, who has been involved in the Irish music scene for more than ten years as a musician, FOH (live) engineer, and studio engineer. Update!: Two acts who recently passed through our doors have gone on to attain a 2fm session on the strength of their demos recorded and mixed here.
